Should I get veneers in Wagga?

If you are looking for a way to make your smile appear straighter, or want to fill in imperfections in your teeth, then veneers in Wagga could be perfect for you. This treatment involves specially-made porcelain being attached to the front of your teeth, to make your teeth appear straighter and fuller.

What’s the process?

This treatment usually takes three appointments to complete, the first one being a consultation meeting with us. It is important to have consultation meetings with your veneers dentist in Wagga before starting treatment, as this allows us to examine your teeth and make sure you are eligible for the treatment. This also gives us an opportunity to fully explain the treatment process, and make sure you are comfortable with continuing.

In your second appointment with us here at Kooringal Dental, we will slightly shape your teeth and trim them down. A layer as thick as the veneer is usually trimmed away, and this can be done with a numbing agent if you wish, but can also be done without. You won’t have to worry about your natural teeth looking like stumps, they will just simply be shaved back to make way for your new smile. Once this is done, we will take an impression of your teeth so that your custom-made veneers in Wagga can be created in the laboratory. It usually takes between 2-4 weeks for them to be made, and you can choose to have temporary fittings whilst you wait.

During your final appointment, this is when they actually get attached to the front of your teeth. Before we actually bond them to your teeth, we will lightly place them onto your teeth to make sure that the fit and colour is right before permanently attaching them. If there are any imperfections then we can trim them to make sure they look as good as possible or change the shade slightly if needed. Your teeth will then be cleaned, polished and roughened slightly to help with the bonding process. A special dental cement is then placed on the individual veneers and attached to the teeth, this cement is tooth coloured, and shouldn’t stain your teeth in any way. Once this part is completed, we will shine a special light beam on your mouth to activate the chemicals in the cement and dry it. The final part is removing any excess cement and making any adjustments if they are needed afterwards. We will usually recommend that you come back in for a follow-up visit a couple of weeks after so we can check that there are no issues.

Here at Kooringal Dental, we are focused on making our patients as comfortable and happy throughout their treatment as possible. We want you to feel welcome and excited about starting your journey to straighter teeth with us.

Life benefits

Our patients love the natural appearance of their smile after getting this treatment done, no one would know you had even had any dental work done in the first place!

A great advantage of this type of veneer is that they are made out of porcelain, which is known to be stain-resistant. This really helps to encourage the longevity of your new smile, especially whilst you are also regularly brushing and flossing.

Another benefit of this treatment is that it does not require as much prepping as some others do, meaning your natural teeth shouldn’t get damaged or weaken.

All treatment carries risks. Individual consultation is required with one of our practitioners to ensure that the treatment is right for you.
