Who is suitable for invisible aligners?
If you are over the age of 18, have good oral health and have a mild to moderate misalignment, then you will probably be suitable for Invisalign Wagga.
To ensure that this is the right aligner for you, our team will invite you in for an assessment where we will look at the aforementioned variables and more, to determine the most appropriate way to realign your teeth. Great!
Wat can they correct?
Invisible aligners have become more sophisticated over the years and now they are able to treat problems ranging from a mild overbite to quite extensive spacing.
They can also correct overbites, underbites and crossbites but to be deemed suitable, you will need to see our team for that all-important initial consultation.
How long does the treatment take?
There are several factors that will determine how long your orthodontic treatment with invisible aligners will take.
Firstly, the complexity of the misalignment; if you have a mild to moderate misalignment, then you will probably be able to have the aligners off and your teeth straightened in around 3-6 months. Secondly, you have to adhere to the treatment schedule; we recommend that you wear the aligners for around 22 hours a day. If you wear them for less time than this, then the treatment may be slowed.

Are home-delivered aligners as reliable?
It can be all too tempting to assume that aligners you see advertised on television and the internet will be just as good at straightening your teeth as aligners provided by a dentist. This is especially true if you have a dental aversion or if you are looking for a more cost-effective way to straighten your teeth.
But, the reality is that when it comes to orthodontic work, you need the guidance of a dentist, hence why we offer consultations for our patients who want to wear aligners. We also provide information about which orthodontic tool would be most suitable for your case of misalignment, ensuring that you get the right treatment with the right tool.
So, in short, no, home-delivered or DIY aligners are probably not going to be as good as ones provided by our team.
Do they really work?
In short, yes!
Invisible aligners have had a bit of stick for not being reliable, but in studies and in our own experience of offering this aligner to our patients, they do work.
Remember, you have to keep them in for a minimum of 22 hours a day to see results and you have to be given the all-clear from a trained dentist that they are the appropriate treatment for you. And once the aligners are off, you will probably have to wear a retainer to help your teeth stay in place. Simple!
