A guide to veneers from us at Kooringal Dental

If you are looking for a cosmetic dental treatment to help improve your smile, then veneers Wagga could be a great option for you, just like it has been for many of our patients. Our team will do all they can to fulfill your needs and help you feel more comfortable with your smile.

An introduction

You probably want to know what veneers Wagga actually are, and how they can help to improve the look of your teeth. Here at Kooringal Dental, our dentists are highly trained in the treatment, and everything surrounding it, so we can explain it fully for you.

This treatment involves using pieces of porcelain or composite resin that are custom-made to look like enamel, and we attach them to the front of your natural teeth. This means that we can simply cover a tooth if it has any imperfections.

The main benefits

When you get this treatment with us, you will really see the difference it can make when it comes to improving your smile. Our patients really enjoy the results of this treatment, and we know that you can too.

Appearance

One of the clear advantages of this treatment is how your teeth look afterwards. We can use veneers Wagga to help cover damage to your teeth such as chips and discolouration. As mentioned above, they are custom-made to fit in with the shape and size of the rest of your teeth, so they look as natural as possible.

Long-lasting

Another great advantage that our patients love about this treatment is how long the new look of your teeth will last. With a good oral hygiene routine of brushing and flossing, your veneers can last for around 15 years and sometimes even longer!

What’s the process?

It is very important that we begin any treatment with a consultation, which is an initial appointment so that we can assess the condition of your case, take scans or X-rays and make sure you are eligible for the treatment. This is also when we will determine if you are best suited for porcelain or composite resin.

Whether you are having porcelain or composite resin veneers, the process starts off the same. We will always begin by performing a deep clean of your teeth to prepare them. We may also remove a thin layer of enamel from the front of your teeth, as it can help with the application.

If you are having composite resin, the process is a little bit simpler, and it can usually be done in one visit, which is great if you are wanting a quick fix for your teeth. Whereas when you have porcelain, this will be done in two appointments. The first one allows us to shape your teeth and make impressions, and your veneers will be created based on them. You will then come back for a second appointment for us to attach them.

The actual application of the two different types of veneers is usually the same, and we do it by using a dental cement that attaches them to your teeth. We will then use a special light to activate the cement, which hardens it. This creates a very strong bond, and means that your veneers will stay in place securely.
