Composite resin veneers are applied directly to the front surface of the tooth so treatment can usually be completed in one visit. Porcelain veneers are made in a dental laboratory and require two visits. Your teeth are shaped on the first visit and an impression is taken. This is used to fabricate your veneers that will be fitted and bonded in place during your next appointment. Although a little more expensive than composite resin, porcelain veneers are harder wearing and longer lasting.
